Installation Mechanic (Union) (5+ Years Experience)
We are seeking a highly skilled Installation Mechanic with a minimum of 5 years of installation experience. This role is for professionals who take pride in precision workmanship, understand best practices in HVAC installation, and can lead or support installs to completion.
The right candidate will be dependable, safety-minded, and confident installing systems according to code, manufacturer specs, and high ethical standards.
Position/Role Responsibilities
In this role, you will be expected to:
- Install HVAC systems according to specifications and code
- Perform full system change-outs, new installs, and jobsite coordination
- Ensure proper airflow, refrigerant piping, venting, and equipment setup
- Read and interpret job specs, blueprints, and installation requirements
- Start up systems, verify operation, and complete install documentation
- Maintain clean, safe job sites and follow all safety standards
- Communicate clearly with field leadership and office coordination
- Provide professional customer interaction and explain installation basics when needed
- Support apprentices or crew members as required
Position Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of HVAC installation experience
- Solid understanding of HVAC installation best practices
- Strong mechanical ability and jobsite awareness
- Dependability, punctuality, and team-first attitude
- Ability to work safely, efficiently, and professionally
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (role dependent)
- Experience in residential and/or commercial installation
- Ability to lead install crews and train others
- Strong attention to detail and pride in clean, high-quality work
