my husband and I had a great experience with this company. The installation of our AC system was quick, clean and professionally done, by expert technicians.
Although this note is late, the sincerity of my appreciation and gratitude is not. I recently had my furnace and air conditioning unit replaced by this great team of electricians and technicians.They were punctual and undaunted by what appeared to be quite a Herculean and daunting task. The furnace and air conditioner would not fit through the front door. So, this highly organized team of professionals backed the delivery truck against the backyard fence. On the other side of the fence were a tall ladder and 4 very strong men. They caught the hoisted equipment and effortlessly carried each to its designated place (the backyard & basement.).
They worked feverishly and quietly. They were quite meticulous. When they were finished, they did not leave any scraps, remnants or trash behind. But, they did leave me a warm toasty house, on that 18 degree January day.
My wife and I moved to Staten Island in the brutal winter of 1994. The very day we got the key to our new home and drove over with a carload of small items, we walked into a house with a temp hovering near thirty degrees. The main furnace that we were told had a "hairline crack" and would probably last "a few more years" before needing replacement had died in sub-freezing weather during the couple of days while we waited for closing!
We called BOB MIMS and the next day we had two new furnace units installed for the main portion of the building as well as the apartment. We have had an annually-renewed service contract with MIMS ever since. The service techs have always been polite, professional, and respectful of our home. They arrive on time and on the scheduled appointment day provide us with a "heads-up" call to let us know they will be on the way in short order.
Finally, we had those furnaces replaced TWO WEEKS before Sandy this past October. The storm wiped-out our basement as well as all of our heating equipment, water heater and washer & dryer. MIMS held back their last two units in their warehouse for us and four days later, (once access to our area was established) we had TWO NEW furnaces installed in less than ten hours!
We highly recommend BOB MIMS. There may be another company that is cheaper and provides excellent service - God bless them. All I know is that when we needed MIMS they were there for us this past November and have provided A-1 customer service for nearly twenty years. How many businesses can say that today?
